Dr. Sedlmeier is Avantgarde’s new Data Protection Officer

As a service provider in the field of IT, it is a particular challenge to assign the position of the company’s Data Protection Officer. This person must have a certain independence when looking at the relevant company divisions.

We were able to retain the attorney and specialist attorney in IT law Dr. Tobias Sedlmeier for this highly responsible task. He specialises in providing legal services in the fields of IT, technology, internet, media and the creative industry and acts for both suppliers and customers.

Dr. Sedlmeier has achieved the required expertise and professional integrity through his many years of consulting in the fields of IT law, IT outsourcing, IT compliance, internet law / e-commerce, data protection, intellectual property, trademark law, distribution law, competition and antitrust law, corporate and commercial law, tax law, labour law and commercial criminal law. He regularly passes his broad range of knowledge on to students by giving lectures at the University of Würzburg.

As Data Protection Officer, Dr. Sedlmeier is the contact person for the management and the employees of Avantgarde Business Solutions GmbH with respect to all issues concerning data protection. Dr. Sedlmeier conducted an initial data protection audit in spring 2011, which produced a very positive result and confirmed that we have taken the right way regarding the protection of personal data. We are delighted to be working with Dr. Sedlmeier.
