New Service software at Viessmann

In June 2010 the heating technology manufacturer Viessmann published the new service software Vitosoft 300 SID for its customers.

Vitosoft 300 is tailored for use in commissioning, maintenance and service. The software ensures a quick system overview and a fast setting of the regulation of the heating unit. Configuration and analysis can occur both online, at the heating plant, and offline, for instance in the office.

Technologically, Vitosoft 300 is based on Avantgarde e-ControlNet, the modular software solution for M2M applications. The .Net-based software makes comprehensive functions available for monitoring, analysis and reporting for the management of technical plants and end devices. For the first time, all options of the server platform can also be used as a local Windows application with the innovative Mobile Client technology. This enables the cost-efficient provision of new functions in parallel for both platform variations.
The deployment of the Windows application occurs online or by DVD by means of an easy-to-handle installation package for all common Windows versions (XP, Vista, Windows 7). The primary Vitosoft 300 user groups are skilled craftsmen and service operations.
The software provides a broad spectrum of functions for them:

• Local communication with individual heating units and plants
• Plant overview – online and offline
• Parameterisation of all plant functions
• Creation of acceptance protocols
• Parameter comparison with stored configuration states or the delivery condition
• Export/Import of plants for archiving and data exchange
• Management of plant diagnosis functions
• Creation of trend records of any plant parameters

Extensive function expansions for the further simplification of commissioning and service processes are planned for future software versions.
